Let's see 'em for your cars. I'm certain this has been done before, but why the hell not do it again?
Here's my Safari (1996 Astro in video)
Dad's Silverado (2003 refresh in video)
And Mom's Fusion (I may have typed Vue as first)
So the Fusion might be the only car at the house that isn't a total deathtrap. The Safari folds in half and the Silverado has it's doors ripped open, exposing passengers. And those are the two cars I drive the most, awesome.

They seem safe.

Damn, hardly anything behind the A-pillars move.

As long as I wear a helmet at all times, I should be okay.

That's surprisingly good.
![]() 01/04/2015 at 19:55 |

many safe, very wow.

I can't seem to find a video for mine (100 series Land Cruiser). :(

If I had an airbag, I would be a lot more comfortable lol. The 4Runner had a fully boxed chassis long before Ford had rights to brag about it in a commercial, so it's a brute.

I'm quite happy with that haha

I'm good there annndd
still good. (though ours are a 2008 and 2010 respectivly)
HOWEVER.
I dont want to see the crash test vid for this..

The interior is carpetted halfway up the dashboard as knee padding as well.

So safe and luxurious.

I'm not at all concerned.
My 2015 Subaru Outback (they tested a Legacy but it's the same car)
and my moms 2015.5 Volvo S60

Mine's a SS but structurally it's the same.
Not the greatest. Roof rail kinks.

This has been done before. Oh well. I'm still safe.
![]() 01/04/2015 at 20:35 |

The A8's windshield nope'd the fuck outta there.

(Skip to 2:30 for the actual test) Amazing to think it was one of the safest cars you could buy in 1979. it scored 4 starts for the driver and 3 stars for the passengers. It scored higher than the volvos at the time. I guess if you don't ming loosing a mouthful of teeth in the steering wheel, it's safe.

Volvo is cheating. They are impervious to crashes.

Surprisingly my Subaru looks safer than the Volvo, as its structure appears to hold up far better than the Volvo's.

Other than that minor detail...

Here's the closest thing I can find:
The only real difference is I have no airbags

lol safety
![]() 01/04/2015 at 21:18 |

Well, this is suitably terrifying
The BMW looks a lot better actually
My dad's is definitely the safest.....of course the one I drive the least

I've NEVER been able to find a G35 coupe video.

My 2004 Nissan Sentra
note how the dummy's head slams the b-pillar after impact

Can't find a crash test for my '97 SHO, so here's its spiritual successor:

Surprisingly my SVT Focus looks just as safe as my 9-5. My 9-3 looks to be better than either of them. Too bad the car is shit in every other way.
Crash Test 2000 - 2006 Ford Focus IIHS:
2002 Saab 9-5 moderate overlap IIHS crash test:
2003 Saab 9-3 moderate overlap IIHS crash test:

This is the closest video I could find for my 965.
1999 Ford F150 (YIKES)
2013 Ford Edge
2008 Honda Accord

Closest I could find to my 1990 is a 1985: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPp5mh…
Anything newer is a 940/960 which includes SIPS and passenger air bags, so different results.

I feel pretty secure
![]() 01/04/2015 at 22:54 |

Welcome to old cars. Cheaper, but less safe. It is what it is.
![]() 01/04/2015 at 23:06 |

I actually have an '03 which has a slightly reinforced subframe so it should actually fair better than this.

Cant find an offset video, but still long front end ftw.
![]() 01/04/2015 at 23:56 |

I used to own one of these.
This is possibly the world's first crash test video - it's an actual Citroen advertising film.

The S60's hood came uncomfortably close to piercing the windshield

Holy shit that is terrifying.

I'm impressed.
GTI for the small overlap crash test (the wheel/tire would probably absorb more energy in my car as it only has 15"s, which should cause less damage behind it):
ESC test, something I haven't seen before, for good measure:
